Ryan P. Myers is a business litigation attorney at Skjold ▪ Barthel, P.A. Mr. Myers represents businesses and business owners in complex business and commercial litigation. Mr. Myers also represents property owners, investors, and other individuals with lending, mortgage and securities fraud claims. Mr. Myers is actively involved in the prosecution and defense of business and commercial matters, aggressively representing his clients and zealously advocating their positions in court.
Mr. Myers' handles matters involving business contracts, shareholder disputes, unfair competition, non-compete agreement enforcement, defamation, trade secret protection, trademark infringement, fraud and misrepresentation. Mr. Myers' litigation focuses on an aggressive motion practice, requests for temporary restraining orders, preliminary injunctions and other injunctive relief.
Mr. Myers' is a graduate of St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, where he graduated with a double major in English and Philosophy. While at St. Olaf, Mr. Myers was a three-year member of the world-renowned St. Olaf Choir, which performs concerts throughout the United States and the world.
Mr. Myers received his Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota Law School. While at the University of Minnesota, Mr. Myers served as a member of the competition team for the National Moot Court, which earned him top honors, including the third best appellate brief in the nation.
Mr. Myers' previous experience includes working as a law clerk with the white-collar prosecution team at the Hennepin County Attorney's Office. Mr. Myers also served as an intern with the majority counsel's office of the United States Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations where he worked to highlight hundreds of millions of tax dollars lost to every year to tax evasion through fraudulent securities transactions utilizing the secrecy of offshore tax havens.
Mr. Myers' is licensed to practice in the state courts of Minnesota and the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota.
